Mr. George Lim SC, Chairman of SIMC, and Mr. Gao Zhanpeng, the third chairman of the Guangdong,Hong Kong & Macao Arbitration & Mediation Alliance, delivered speeches at the opening of the seminar. SCIA has been committed to exploring the innovation of diversified dispute resolution mechanisms for more than 30 years. While vigorously developing arbitration, it has established the SCIA Mediation Center, the Shenzhen Securities and Futures Industry Dispute Mediation Center, the SCIA Negotiation Promotion Center, the Guangdong,Hong Kong & Macao Arbitration & Mediation Alliance, etc. Platform, innovative "exhibition mediation + arbitration", "four-in-one capital market dispute resolution mechanism", "negotiation promotion + arbitration" and other diversified dispute resolution mechanisms to serve the parties' dispute resolution needs in a comprehensive and multi-channel manner. In December 2018, SCIA became the only arbitration institution in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau that was included in the Supreme People's Court's "one-stop" diversified resolution mechanism for international commercial disputes. On June 17, 2020, SCIA and SIMC signed a memorandum of cooperation. In the future, they will make full use of the advantages of both parties in their respective dispute resolution fields to jointly provide parties with a diversified dispute resolution service of "mediation + arbitration (Med-Arb)". The Guangdong,Hong Kong & Macao Arbitration & Mediation Alliance is an arbitration and mediation cooperation platform initiated by SCIA in Qianhai, Shenzhen in 2013, and jointly established by the arbitration and mediation institutions of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
